I have been thinking about Goop lately.

I've used it to hold the front end of a car together.
I've used it to hold a CV boot together for about 1.5 years.
I've used it to glue patches to a girl-scout sash.
I've used Goop as a gasket sealer for two different transmission pans - Not a drip afterwords.

What have you used Goop for?

See your local hardware and ask for Household Goop. They also make Plumbers Goop, Automotive Goop, Shoe Goo, and others. All very similar, but Shoe Goo has some grit in it for durability on a shoe.

Goop does hundreds of things. I have used it to

fix 1:64 die cast cars
seal leaky motorhome windows
hold the window trim down on my pickup (was flapping in the wind)
fix a plastic snap connector on a belt pack
glue and seal most anythig
keep my shoe laces from untying (permanantly tied loose for slip on shoe effect)
I have forgotten far more uses than I can remember.
Use it for just about anything, but beware it has a very strong smell at first and will give you a headache if you sniff too much.

I dont like the hand cleaner.

Im a jb weld guy for rigging broke stuff.

I found something that, IMHO, is better than JB Weld. It's quicksteel, a putty, like the JB Weld Waterweld.

Also, for even higher temperature applications, Thermosteel.

For fixing something that's flexible Goop works great, I prefer Marine Goop as it has UV inhibitor in it. Non flexible like my bath tub JB Weld is great. Those plastic tanks used for windshield washer fluid that crack and RTV will not seal Goop works great.
