Steel Blue Wind Rider, can you tell me what publication you have that says that BMW approves the oils that you listed for use in their products? Every Bimmer that I've seen has recommended a oil that meets BMW LL-01 (for newer models) standard and none of the oils you listed meet that standard.

If you don't mind can you tell me of your corporate publication that recommends these oils that you've published?

FowVay, it was corporate reply from BWM America, via email response to my questions. I'll look to see if it's still in my folder if you want, I'll forward the response they sent me to you. Let me know.

I would really like to know how you install the sender for the oil temp gauge. Ive wanted one of those for a long time.

Thanks,

JMH

Is GM actually specifying 5w20 for this engine? Or are you just assuming they are because it's a Honda engine?

I seriously doubt GM is specifying 5w20.

I own one.
The manual says 5W20 and NOTHING ELSE for the 3.5
the fill cap has a big "5W20" in white letters
same CAFE game as F & H.
