A local Napa has a full display rack of Lubro Moly. I was picking up some of the MoS2 additive for an older pushrod engine.

They had, among other oils, Lubro Moly Longtime High Tech syn. 5W-30. Does anyone know the oil group composition of this oil, i.e. ester, PAO, Group III, or blend of these?

Thanks.

^Great german oil with a wide variety of choices and weights. They even offer MoS2 anti-friction oil which is gray. My local euro part store sells a lot of their fluids, always liked it and have used it many cars as well as my friends.

I started using LM in my 91 525i a while back.
So far it seems great oil. It's a bit expensive~$7/qt

I used Lubro Moly MoS2 additive in a Honda Civic, although it's been over 10 years ago. That car was never garaged and we often saw temperatures well below zero, sometimes as low as 25 below. The MoS2 made a huge difference when starting the car up first thing on those sub-zero mornings.

Here's the data sheet for the new 5W-30 LM

Where are you getting lubro Moly for 7 per quart?

Advanced Auto sells the 5W-40 and 0W-40 for about 31 dollars per 5 liter jug, which works out to about to less than 6 dollars per quart.

remember 1 liter = 1.18 (roughly) quarts
