What is the difference between these two Wix filters?

Look at Napa's silver and gold, the silver is the cheaper one and matches the Red and the Napa Gold matches the Blue. Hope this helps

Pretty much same filter from what I've seen the last time (emphasis on last. No customer service worth a plug nickel there.

) I was a a CQ store. I stick with AAP, Napa, Federated and when I can get to the area it's at, Pepe Boys for filters.

Blue has the silicon ADBV and the red doesn't, or vice versa.

Pete C. has reported here that CarQuest Blue and Red filters are identical to NAPA Gold and Silver filters, respectively. The NAPA Gold and the CarQuest Blue are identical to the WIX-branded filters, except for the paint on the can.

OK, here is a new twist on the Blue vs Red.

I called my local Carquest shop (Canada) looking for a cartridge filter for my engine.

I asked the parts guy if it was the Blue or Red version, and he said it was the "CTI" version.

Anyone heard of these before?

CTI is a filter company ..but the name is associated with big rigs and heavy equipment. They may be into the automotive line
