Anybody ride one of these? I'm overdue for a new bike and I got the green light from the wife. I've always ridden Cannondale and this year they came out with the Caffiene 29er. Exactly what I want. It has a Lefty "fork". Anyone have any experience with these? Of course the bike stores all say it"s great.

I've known 2 guys who rode C'dales with lefty forks. Other than one minor seal problem that the shop took care of for free, the forks have been fairly bulletproof.

I've ridden a Lefty. At first it's kinda unsettling, but after a while you start believing that it's safe -- which I am sure it is. The steering was exceptionally precise. The price, but also my non-competitve riding style, makes the Lefty for me uninteresting. All I can say is, try a Lefty out. If you think it's worth the cost, go for it after having the wife approve.

Thanks. I figured I've had nothing but good luck with Cannondale for years but I just wanted to hear from someone besides the guy selling me the bike.
