Changed my oil last night, after doing 2,000 miles on rinse phase of auto rx, a fram extracare fitler, and supertech 5w 30 oil. I t was kinda interesting. The oil di come out a tad bit gooy and dark. I did hack the fram fitler open, with a small handheld hacksaw. Just some tiny particulate matter at bottom of fitler can. I unraveled the fitler media, and loked like it did a good job actually! It wasnt ful of gunk(as i was hoping) but it did catch 'some' tiny particle sized pieces of carbon chip, it loked like. I am doing another clean phase now, with a fram extend guard(always wnated to try one) and Advnaced auto 5w 30.
Since using auto rx, i have noticed a much smoother idle, and performance, so it is doing something in thier! I was thinking of using shell 5w30, or valvoline, or castrol GTX, but decided to use an oil i havnt yet.
