My real off road truck for now is my 87 4Runner (22RE) that i have had for past 15 years, with lifted Rancho 9000 set-up. The LX450 does have the I-6 4.5 about 212 HP and 285 torgue.
The LX is pretty much stock except for a KN air filter.
I changed the oil the other day with an almost 50/50 Rotella S to Rotella T.....
Based on advice on this board, i emptied the oil and pourned in 100% Rotella S. so far so good. Too early to tell for any mileage gains,,,, but my experience with this truck has been that there aint much I can really do to increase the gas mileage. The best thing for it so far has been the KN filter, and filling my tires with nitrogen.
