Oversize for ST 4967?

Is there such a thing? The 4967 is the stock Corolla filter and usually the Camry's spec a filter that is 1/2 inch longer, similar to the Purolator 14476 and 14477.

Not exactly. You have to go to a filter with a sligthly larger diameter. They work, but they are wider, including the Camry filter you mention.

ST (and most other companies) don't make a size-equivalent to the 14477. I have used a 3614 size and even a 3600 size in my '03 Corolla and it fits well enough. The gasket comes right out to the end of the mounting flange, but it is still okay.

It is a bit wider, so whether it fits in the space or not depends on your exact model.

What's wrong with a 14477 purolator? If you have a Pepboys
they'll be cheaper after rebate then the st4967.

I just won't use the smaller toyota filter on a tercel as it already has only a 3 qt sump.

Purolator 14477 is 99 cents after rebate at Pepboys this week. I'm buying a few for my daughter Tercel.
