Is BMW LongLife Oil the same as GC?

Is it? I was just wondering, because that BMW stuff seems to be more available in CA. No, I don't know if it is green, and at BMW dealers, they keep it behind the counter, so I can't look at it first...sheesh

I don't think so; I believe what BMW dealers sell is a 5W-40. GC meets BMW LL-01 but that is a spec not necessarily what BMW dealers are selling.

Nope. That is if you are reffering to the dealer oil sold as BMW High Performance Synthetic. Its most likely a grp. III/PAO blend but still rated ACEA A3, BMW LL-01 etc. Interesting, especially since its a 5W-30 and very few of those meet the HTHS 3.5 threshold. Still seems to be a very good oil nonetheless. Here is a UOA on my bimmer right after I bought it.
