which is right ATF or Lightweight conventional motor oil?

Talk to Royal Purple about using Hydraulic oil. If normal ATF is about the right csT than 10W is fine. I'm in my 2nd year using Syndraulic 32 in my race Glide. Way better on metal to metal that ATF. Stopped the damage (spalling) I had been seeing in my straight cut planetary set.

AMSOIL ATF is a kin to 5W20 in viscosity.
The guys that drag race here locally love the stuff.
