It's to be Saturday night special street driven type thing. I dont mind changing it often it that effects your choice.

I look forward to your advice and thank you in advance.

Simon.

In a motor like this I would run 15w50 mobil 1 (red cap), with a motorcraft filter.

If you want to go with a dino, I would run havoline dino, or a diesel dino.

M1 15W50 or even the excellent Amsoil Racing 20W50 which has many adherents here in Oz. Also see if you can round up any of the PAO Pennzoil Performax 100 5W50. I found some at Repco fwiw.

You could probably run an off the shelf 10w-30 or HD 30 if the bearing clearances are comparable to a stock engine and you don't plan on running the **** out of the engine.

I'd run 15w50 if the bearing clearances are over .0025". Otherwise run M1 0w40 or SUV 5w40.
