Have been giving some consideration to using this in my race car. Anyone have any reports or experience? A fellow race engine builder told me that the Pro stockers used it a number of years ago and the comment was it was hard on the parts. I need like a csT 40 of 90 and vsT 100 of 13 or so

RP racing oil is quite popular around here, as is redline. The NHRA guys around here change their oil about every few races, due to constant engine modification, parts breakage, etc...........so I can't say how well RP holds up for a long haul.

summit racing sells it at 5/qt
they sell redline for 7.95
not sure what that means.
I ordered redline atf and gear oils from myoilshop.com for 6.30/qt so I'd say do that maybe.

Price means very little but in this case, you are comparing apples and oranges.
The 5 / quart would be the RP API Licensed oils, not the line of Racing oils that retail for a suggested 9-11 / quart.

Kind of like comparing Goodyear street tires to Goodyear Bias ply cantilevered road racing slicks.

Apples to oranges gents.....
