I changed out my coolant on my Mitsu Montero recently. I did a drain and refill a few times with the drain valve on the radiator. The next day I noticed a little puddle of coolant on the garage floor and just assumed that I spilled some. However, I have now determined that I have a slow drip of coolant coming from the rear of the engine. The vehicle is 30 months old with 31k miles on it. It just seems like an amazing coincidence to get a leak the same day I changed the coolant. Prior to this, the engine has never required a drop of coolant top-up. I am taking it to the dealer for them to find the source of the leak since it is under warranty.

I bought my jug of coolant at the dealer. Boy am I glad I did.

Check the radiator drain plug to be sure it is properly secured. Then just keep an eye on your floor over the next few days. Also keep an eye on the coolant level both in the radiator and in the overflow tank.
