Mixing G12(+) and BASF G30

Had to refill antifreeze tonight but Audi/VW/Skoda/SEAT dealer had closed for the day.
My car used G12+ fluid before but is now mixed with 50% BASF G30 (50/50 G30/water).
No problem whatsoever

and a bonus was that G30 costs 1/3 of the VW G12+.

The pink G-12 coolant is what BASF calls Glysantin G-30.

I just topped off my wife's Jetta and wondered why whoever came up with G12 couldn't spec a color other than pink for it? This stuff is pretty expensive from VW too.....I paid $20 for a 3 liter bottle.
