The brake pedal on my truck is squeaking/creaking as it is slowly depressed. As I test it in my driveway by smashing it fast, no squeak. But when Im driving and depressing it slowly to brake, its creak-creak chirp chirp and gets a little faster as I compress more. I tried shooting some Gunk white lithium spray in a couple of joints up there, to no avail. Theres a rubber firewall boot and a shock like cylinder type thing, but I didnt want to go greasing brake parts that I dont know what they do. The truck is still under warranty but I dont want to be a pansy and take it in for a little squeaking. Its hard to crane my neck around under the dash and see where its coming from though, since I cant really replicate the noise. Should I try some Mobil 1 spray up on the joints?
