Here is my latest UOA:
Vehicle: 2004 Jetta TDI
Miles on car: 71,600
Miles on oil: 11,600
Oil type: Mobil Delvac 1 5W/40
Iron 25
Chromium 2
Lead 4
Copper 5
Tin 0
Aluminum 7
Nickel 1
Silver 0
Silicon 4
Boron 33
Sodium 4
Potassium 3
Magnesium 320
Calcium 2371
Phosphorus 1326
Zinc 1355
Molybdenum 0
Fuel A
Water % vol. Glycol N
Visc @ 100c 13.6
Soot 0.1
Oxidation 15.00
Nitration 10.00
TBN 8.85
My comments:
Delvac seems to be doing quite well, especially considering the mileage on this sample. Fe numbers are even lower than with the last 505.01 sample- 25 vs. 31, which was also very good, and TBN is significantly higher too- 8.85 vs. 6.62
A 15k OCI is probably quite realistic with continued sampling.
