If memory serves me correctly, most of the 5K drains I saw on TDIClub had a higher wear rate per 1000 miles than the 10K drain. Perhaps this was caused by the initial additive clash when changing oil formulas and causes a higher wear rate during the first 1-2K ???

I'd be interested in seeing the results after 10K, I bet the Iron would be lower on a per 1000 mile basis.

Delvac 1 delivers the goods. Again.
A 10.0 TBN is pretty good. Yuck yuck.
Where would the numbers show that the PD is unhappy with your choice? (For my own info)

Very high iron numbers would indicate a problem in the PD cam/rollers. I have heard of a PD engine going over 60k on Delvac 1 and it still showed excellent wear numbers fo Fe.
