Hi,
importantly, no TBN or TAN?

All seems very good and subject to a confirming TBN/TAN this oil has lots of life left at 345hrs (the conversion factor we use is 1 hr=80kmh(50mph)so this is about 27kkms (17k miles)

What filters are fitted to this engine?

No tbn or tan with this uoa.
This tractor should land beteewn 600 and 1000 hour intervals.

The Schaeffer oil lab chemists look at so many tests that they can see the condition of the oil in things other than TBN. I don't know exactly how they do it, but they are confident of their work...and I haven't heard of any problems arising from their techique.

Hi,
Ken2 - IMHO like so many things, it is again another building block less for an accurate across Brands/Labs comparison

With diesel UOAs TAN or TBN should be mandatory - preferably both!

salesrep - yes, somewhere above 600hrs looks possible and the increasing topup will help achieve this. Top up to date is also not noted in the UOA

"yes, somewhere above 600hrs looks possible"
I think that this is the point here. Not the Schaeffer methodology. Schaeffer, as Ken2 eluded, is comfortable in recommending intervals based on thousands of uoa's with their own oils. It is our A** that is on the line and you can be sure that we will err to the conservative side.
