This was my first run with CI-4+ Delo 400 in my '04 GMC Sierra, & I'm pretty pleased, to say the least. 8,345 on the oil, & ~96k total actual miles on the engine.

Mobil 1 oil filter & AC Delco air filter. No make-up oil added or needed. I didn't feel like spending the extra $10 on a TBN this time, since it's always been in good shape during the previous 6 UOAs on this truck.

With Delo 400 giving me such good results, I'm going to hate to put in 5w-40 synthetic when the weather starts getting colder.

Why? Do we know if Delo Syn has the same addditive package? I do not see how you could get a better analysis!

Man, Duramax engines have to be the best wearing light duty diesel engine on the market. Every UOA that I've seen on the Duramax's show LOW wear metal PPM.

I don't know if that necessarily equates to a longer lasting diesel engine?
