Once again, fuel dilution seems to be the culprit of oil viscosity breakdown and high iron. From left to right, Esso XD-3 0w40 5K miles, Mobil Delvac 15w40 5K miles, and now Castrol RX 15w40 only 4000 miles. Total mileage on the engine at latest sample about 18,000miles. I changed the oil early on this interval because the turbo vanes were stuck/coked up and the whole turbo unit was changed. Not sure if the turbo issues would contribute to the high fuel, my guess is they didn't. Also it was getting cold here overnight so decided to use Esso XD-3 0w30. I tried checking my dipstick during the intervals for the oil level rising and smelling it for fuel contamination but didn't see/smell anything. From what I've heard, Ford won't investigate a possible leaking injector unless there's a lot more fuel in the oil. I suspect this fuel level might have contributed to the turbo damage too...

Any ideas? If I extended the interval say beyond 5,000 miles, would the fuel contamination number rise accordingly? So at 4K, I'm at 3%, 5K I'm at 4%, 6K miles 5% perhaps?

Quick, are you and jarek one and the same?
I have to agree with you its all in the fuel- wash. Cylinders (50ppm iron)and rings (moly 7.2). Whats up with the 3 lower #s ie. nitration and oxidation? I've never seen #s that high. Is that from the fuel contamination? If it were me I'd send it to Dyson. You might have a better chance at building a case with the dealer to check on your injectors.
My 6.0 always shows less than .5 on fuel. I heard somewhere that Ford wont address it unless its 5% or more.

Yeah, I'm Jarek from Dieselstop.

Not sure how to read those nitration, sulfation and oxidation numbers, my other Redline 10w30 analysis produced similar high numbers, I'll have to ask them what those numbers mean and what scale they use.

If my next analysis is just as bad, I'm definitely going to the dealer and having a serious chat about checking for a leaky injector. Either that or they can replace another turbo at yet another 15K miles.

I hear that. The fuel issue seems to be your only problem. I bet if Ford fixes it then you'll have a sweet running 6.0. Have they (Ford/dealer)seen any of your UOAs? Maybe print some of the better ones from Jacks file and take them as ammo to show the dealer what a proper 6.0 report looks like. I know its a crappy deal for you to have to do any of this.
Unfortunately all the oil changes in the world wont fix the fuel problem.
