Based upon these results should I change the oil? Or just the filter?

Thanks Texas. Prior to your reply I dumped the oil and spent the $$$ to recharge with fresh Amsoil 5w-30 and filter. I will test in 5500 miles.

Has anyone here heard the reports of these engines being very tough on the oil viscosity? I've heard reports elsewhere that these engines shear the oil much sooner than other engines including the 7.3 Powerstroke.

The new 6.0 engines are shearing the heck out of about any oil during break in. Based on what I see.
