I changed the OE fill at 6,000km and ran this oil until 14,000km. This truck is used mostly for work on weekends, hauling stuff in the bed. I do a mixture of hwy and a lot of stop/go/idling, about 800km per week. On a scale of 1-10 in terms of severity I'd say it's about a 7. I also drive in a lot of dusty areas which combined with a brand new engine explains the high silicon and iron.
As from other 6.0 PSD analysis I've seen before, the viscosity has taken a beating, from 15.4 to 9.8!
The fuel is also a little high at 3% but that number is also normal for new 6.0's and should be lower on the next analysis, unless I have problems with the injectors.
For this interval, I decided to try the Delvac 1300s 15w40. Do you guys think I should do an 5,000mile interval again or lower? Ford recomeends 5,000 miles for 'severe duty'. Any other comments welcome. First values are VOE
Glycol NEG
Water Soot 0%
Sulfation 56
Nitration 64
Oxidation 63
