Hi,

Here is an analysis of Mobil Delvac 1 (from the local Caterpilliar dealer). Second oil change with the D1 full synthetic. 200700 miles on the car, oil changed at 3638 mi on the oil, Mann cartridge insert (this car doesnt use a spin-on filter) used. Analysis done by Wear-check USA, the analyzer flagged it for abnormal Viscosity (KV@100C=14.77), although they also had in the entry that it was for a gasoline engine, when I did certianly mark that it was diesel.
Here are the results:

Yeah, Isnt ZDDP a high pressure lubricant additive similar to Moly, that is usually present in diesel oils? If so, I have analyzed two diesel oils and also CF rated mobil 1, and none have had any ZDDP...

Maybe I can find out more info...

Wouldn't ZDDP show in the analysis as Zinc?

The ZDDP is showing up as Phosphorus and Zinc, about 0.12% by weight.
