I'd like to pour/spray some intake cleaner (ie. Seafoam, Chemtool B12) down my PCV hose while I let the car idle. Is this a good way to clean out nasty deposits in the intake manifold? Does anyone have any advice on how to properly do this and maximize the cleaning?

I'm not mechanically skilled enough to actually remove the manifold and clean it by hand.

use either the PCV hose or the brake booster. whichever one is the either the most centrally located as far as the intake is concerned or the one that is the closest to the throttle body itself. you dont want to use a vacuum line that is only going to one intake runner.

...and then add a PCV catch-can when you're done and try to prevent the buildup in the future.

Can someone tell me how exactly I get a PCV catch can installed? Sounds pretty simple...any DIY links?
