Oxygen Sensor: OEM type vs. Universal?

While I've never used Bosch 02 sensors, I've used Bosch platinum spark plugs for years on mulitple Toyotas, all with zero problems.

Keep in mind that DC area gas is "oygenated" at all times of the year, and has been for a couple of years now. If you are 20 miles out of town and get some gas, you might be surprised at the mileage per gallon improvement.

I bought an OEM style Bosch O2 sensor for my beater Sunbird. I'd heard Bosch O2 sensors sucked, but it's worked fine for close to a year now.

You've gotta go more than 20 miles out of town to get non-oygenated gas.

The only nearby counties in Virginia that do not have oxygenated gas are Fauquier and Spotsylvania.

Basically, if the county or city is required to emissions test vehicles, then oxygenated gas is sold in that county/city. That includes all of Fairfax, Arlington, Stafford, Prince William and Loudon.
