mercedes 300D oil

Hello what oil is best for my mercedes 300D 1980 Diesel with unknow miles likely over 300 K I been thinking of Mobile1 15w50 but it a Ch oil not a CI 4 would it be better to use a oil like Delvac1 but I only seen this in a 5w40 is that to light I live near Jacksonville FL it soon will be hot here would a oil like Delvac 1300 15w40 be better and should I fush it out thanks

the 300d and 240d are absolutly bulletproof engines.

rotella t, delvac 1300, long life, are all good oils and youre engine should amlost not wear out using any diesel rated oil.

As cyptokid said. I have a 240D and 300SD. I use Delvac1 in both and change at 10K miles. Oil analysis says I could go further ~15k.
