Looking for a replacement oil for a Skil circular(hd77) worm drive saw.Skil recommends their worm drive oil 80111 that runs about $5 for 8 ounces-pretty pricey. There must be an equivalent oil out there. I do have some 75w140 and 80w90 gear oil.

Ray B if you find something let us know, the worm oil is expensive but no more than my saw uses I just buy it and keep going. These saws are bulletproof if you keep oil in them.

Found several oil companies that have worm gear drive oils in various viscosities. But not in a small quantity.Bought the Skil worm oil and put it the saw.The oil was thick at room temp.Like thick honey.Much much thicker than my 80w90 gear oil.
