When I used to work for a living we purchased some of it for a replacement to Terrestis. They don't list the Synesstic (BTW-its synthetic

Good question. My guess is that with the advent of the Exxon / Mobil merger, some of the Exxon products went away. An example of a replacement for the Synesstic product as it was used in paper machines would be Mobil SHC PM. The Synesstic MSDS's are still out there, though.

You are correct: as a result of the merger with ExxonMobil, the Exxon synthetic line was merged into the Mobil line. With Mobil having been the synthetic developer/leader through the years, it was only natural. IMHO, Exxon did a wonderful job in its joining with Mobil in recognizing each company's strength and keeping/reinforcing those individual strengths. No one use area went away, just product duplication was eliminated, especially in areas where there was recognized strong product.
