You could probably get really good results with either a Syncromesh or MTL.
The transmission in the Audi TT uses "G50" manual transmission lubricant, which is a 75W90 transmission lube. The VW Golf discussed in your link uses the "G52" fluid, which is of an ATF-like viscosity.
Redline MT-90 or Amsoil MTG would be the correct lube to use in this transmission. Amsoil recommends their MTG product for this transmission , as shown in their Product Application Guide when you look up the 2001 Audi TT:
