My 1997 motorhome has an Onan 4000 watt Emerald Plus generator. I wonder if I can get Wix oil filters for it?

The filter on it, which I assume is Onan as the RV dealer installed it, has 071305B1 on the end.

The tag says it takes one of these oil filters:
B series 122-0645
N series 122-0323

Tall Paul,

My 2003 NAPA catalog lists this under the Onan interchange:

122-0323 NAPA 1762

122-0645 NAPA 1374

Add 51 in front of the NAPA number for WIX number.
The other number is maybe a date code - 7/13/05?
Both have the same bypass valve opening psi. The 1762 is about one inch longer and has slightly different gasket dimensions.

As always, confirm these numbers yourself (website?).

Thanks, I see my Onan manual covers models BGE and NHE. The BGE includes the 4000 watt. The NHE does not. So I think I have a B series. I will check that NAPA filter number. I could not get a cross reference on the WIX website but maybe I can track something down with the numbers you supplied. Also, when I pull the filter off, there may be a number on the side, which I can't see with it mounted.

FYI, I started a new thread in the Oil Filter forum re getting a longer filter that has same spec as the Wix 51374. The 51762 is nicely longer, but has about half the burst strength. The 51516 has lower burst strength, but better than the 51762, but has a lower micron rating. Any ideas, thoughts? Post them in the new thread.
