I have a Craftsman leaf blower that just quit working after about 30 minutes of use. The gas was fresh, the oil was fresh, and the ratio was correct per the manual. It had been working like a champ for weeks, then it just died.

I did notice what seemed to be oily splatters on the plastic around the exhaust. I have never worked on a carb, so I'm fairly ignorant as to what to look for.

What could be wrong with this machine? I am assuming something is wrong with the carb, but that is just an uneducated guess.

Thanks for any advice.

-Dump the gas and the motor oil, refill with fresh gas (premixed) and proper 2-cycle motor oil.

-spray the carb with some carb cleaner and then drain it if possible.

-try firing it up again and see if it works.

if not, you may have to look into your governor or carb
