My lab finally updated it's database to include the new synthetic formulation of XD3 so I thought I'd post the numbers.

Tin 0
Lead 0
Copper 0
Aluminum 1
Silicon 3
Iron 5
Chromium 0.4
Silver 0
Zinc 1350
Magnesium 10
Nickel 0
Barium 0
Sodium 1
Calcium 3800
Vanadium 0
Phosphorus 1300
Molybdenum 0
Boron 3
Manganese 1
Viscosity 12.07

TBN wasn't listed but it's believed to be 12+.

Well, let's filter out the trace elements that are not relevant to the add pack.

Zinc ............1350
Phosphorous 1300
Calcium .......3800
Magnesium......10
Silicon..............3
Boron...............3

So, it looks like a high detergent, CI-4 rated oil with a 1.5 sulfated ash level.

Moly & Boron are not significant players in this formulation - the synthetic base oils are a key

Iron in a VOA is likely leached off of the pipes and equipment used to manufacure the oil. It's not harmful but useful to know when interpreting a UOA.
