Just picked up a 6 qt. case of BC 5-40 from the Autozone on North Pulaski Rd., at 4.99 each. No more GC 03-30, but plenty of space on the racks for it.

Looks like our first 2005 batch of either of the Euro oils from Castrol...considering the production/marketing pipeline that's pretty quick.

BC 5w40 is also supplied by VWoA through the dealership network. Castrol has been supplying it to VW for at least 6yrs.. Its interesting to see that it now is available elsewhere.
Something else to keep in mind....BC is part of VWoAs solution for the 1.8T sludge fiasco. Since VWoA has dropped the price of this oil (current msrp $5.00 per qt) many dealerships use it exclusively for VW/Audi vehicles requiring synthetic oil.
My local Audi dealership has informed me that BC is used in free schedualed maintanences for all `05 and newer Audi vehicles, regardless of engine type(except the `03/`04 RS6, it gets Castrol TXT 505.01).
