I'm running the Havoline 20W50 oil in my '94 Harley Davidson Evolution engine. No problems at this point...

The Havoline 20W50 is an SL rated oil, and won't be SM rated for "some time" according to the Havoline tech I spoke to.

The webpage you link to most likely has outdated data on it--it's six years old, and most oils have changed since then.

Don't get bowled over by the heavy add packs of the Golden Spectro oils. If your engine were ever to get into such a shape that it would need 3000 ppm of zinc to keep from seizing up, you're up the creek anyway.

The Havoline 20W50 has about 1100 ppm of zinc, and a little over 900 ppm of phosphorous. It's almost certainly a better base stock than some of the cycle dino oils on that page you mention--and probably as good as the rest. It'll last plenty long for a 3000 mile OCI. I wouldn't run any cycle oil longer than that, since the oil can become contaminated with fuel and other things--change it often for the satisfaction of knowing it's fresh.
