I just bought a 85 kawasaki gpz550 to resell in the spring and hopefully make a small profit. The previous owner stated he used castrol gtx 10w40 in it. I bought some yamalube 20w40 (odd weight) because it was priced right for the oil change. I am very impressed, the tranny on this bike shifts very well compared to the castrol that was in it and in fact, i think this may be the best oil i have used as far as tranny feel goes.

Used the Yamalube 20w 40 dino oil for years in offroad bikes and ATVs good stuff. Its made by Citgo to Yamaha specs. If your going to use a dino oil in a bike it a good one.

Pennzoil used to make a 20w 40 racing oil many years ago. Always like the 20w 40 wt oils for bikes myself.

I've used nothing but Yamalube 20W-40 in my bike and have never had problems. This year, I'm switching to Shell Rotella T 15W-40.
