i've had the mobil 1 triumph oil 15/50w, the mobil 1 v twin oil20/50, and recently the amzoil syn 20/50w. i thought i'd try amzoil since my dealer carries it, and i've noticed smoother shifts and less engine noise. i had a pulsating whine at 60-75 mph and it has quieted quite a bit. i think it's a trait of this engine, cam chain noise.

i liked the mobil 1 vtwin oil but it seemed to make the bike shift harder when the engine ran for a long time-- shifts were kind of gummy. i don't find this w/ the amzoil.

next i'll put it in my voyager.

I've used Amsoil in my Kawasaki Voyager. It shifts fine with the Amsoil but not quite as smoothly as with Mobil 1 10W40. So far, the smoothest shifting has been with Mobil Delvac 1.
