I just remembered that factoid! It's the least likely vehicle to rollover and safest if you actually do. Darn-dingy-dy dang-et, now I have to git me one of those fellers! How's THAT for taking one narrow safety aspect and hanging your hat on it?

"SUVs rolled over in 36 percent of the fatal crashes they were involved in - more than double the rate for passenger cars. More than 50 percent of the SUV occupants killed in 1998 died in crashes where the vehicle rolled over."

"The 2003 Toyota Tacoma pickup with an extended cab got the worst rollover rating of the vehicles tested, earning two stars on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's five-star scale.
The Audi TT, and Mercedes-Benz E320 were among those earning five stars"
"NHTSA has had little effect on the light truck rollover problem—there is no minimum stability standard and little can be done from the defects area—despite data that show rollover fatalities account for approximately 29 percent of all light vehicle fatalities and are second in severity only after frontal crashes. Combined with the absence of a minimum stability requirement

"Not surprisingly, rollover is particularly acute in light trucks and vans. NHTSA estimates indicate that for all types of collisions, these vehicles are in 68 percent as many crashes per registered vehicle as passenger cars; however, for rollover crashes, LTV’s account for 127 percent as many crashes per registered vehicle as passenger cars."

NFC title game is on, but AJ is spending a lonely Sunday night bashing car companies again.

As is evident in how of his threads degenerate quickly when it comes to this sort of thing, could we get this locked?

Thanks.

Sorry, right now we're getting the broadcast of the Australian Open, wife has the TV. Woman's Semis are on. Myskina is positively busting out of her lil outfit. Were both happy.

Sorry, the only degenerate is someone who attacks other Forum Members.
