About a year and a half or so ago, I replaced a coolant reservoir overflow tube on my 2008 550i because the cheap plastic that BMW used was fried from sitting on top of the radiator. This is the location of the line: [img:left]http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=574775&d=1472683007[/img]
It is common for us E60 guys to replace the line with either aluminum or copper tubing. When I replaced mine, I was only able to find copper at my local Home Depot so I slapped that in.

My question is in regards to the reactivity/compatibility of the copper with the rest of the cooling system on my BMW and with the coolant. Should it be a cause for concern?

According to the certifications on the product, the copper corrosion numbers are very typical at .1 mg weight loss. This is typical of this type of fluid.

Copper corrosion should be a non-issue.
