They seem to be a throw in on all aap store ads. Can I put one in a 7500 oci with confidence or are they a tear concern?

check out the posts here and vids on you tube, they look cheap to me esp with the glued or plastic backimg media! I would go with a napa gold or hastings, bladwin or ?

I have one in use right now on my 4Runner, mostly out of curiosity. It was part of an oil bundle so I figured what the heck. I plan on running it 5,000-7,500 miles and cutting it open.

If can inspect, would be fine. Cuts on the adbv and nearly closed louvers inside the center tube are the usual issues. I would have used them except for those defects on mine. They don't have a tearing problem, it appears to be the same media as used On Mercedes OE called fleece filters, which is Mercedes recommendation for extended oil drain filters.

Define "drama" as it relates to oil filter performance.
