Hi all-would like to poll the collective opinion on which oil to use in my Dodge 318. It is in a 1997 2500 Ram Van which has a motorhome conversion by Roadtrek. It currently has 133K miles and in the last 1500 miles, has not used any oil. I am leaning towards Maxlife 10/30 synthetic blend. What say you about this choice? Are there others I should consider? Thanks.

Your choice sounds fine to me

The recommendations sound good to me. The only section missing are the Rotello truck oil barkers.

A dual rated HDEO in a 30 would also serve you very well. Watch for oil consumption, the Magnum engines were known for the intake belly pan gasket failing allowing the engine to suck oil in from the valley. Also keep the cooling system up to snuff as the Magnum motors were also known for cracking heads. All that being said they're fantastic engines overall and it should serve you well for many miles on any modern Xw30!
