My MIL has a 47-inch LG 1080p TV, though it is not a "Smart TV."
She has an LG soundbar connected to it and this TV is located in a great room of at least 20' x 20' feet.
At 87 years of age, she has to crank the volume to hear the TV.
I wanted to get her a Bose wireless speaker system, especially for the two rear speakers that we could place on either side of her usual seating area. The problem is her lack of Bluetooth capability via that non-Smart TV.
I thought about a bluetooth headset for her, but again, while she has wi-if capability, no Bluetooth via the TV.
I could buy her a new Smart TV and the b/t headset or a new TV and the Bose speaker system.
Is there a less expensive "work-around?" Thanks.
