UOA, Pennzoil Platinum 5W30, 15K KM, 10 months

Just share my recent UOA.

Oil: Pennzoil Platinum, 5W30
Filter: M1 EP
OCI: 15K KM / 10 months
Vehicle: 2K Honda Civic automatic,

Previous oil was M1 EP 5W30

Boring Honda UOA...looks great.

Well there was 15km done and the uoa reports TRY 17000 miles. Big difference and a typo on Blackstone. PP did look good in report though.

Good wear rates.
Superb used oil condition.
I would consider extending OCI to 20000-25000 km or thereabouts.

1 quart top up on an engine that takes less than 4qts? That TBN is not accurate at all. Try sampling before topping up next time.

For sure. A one quart topoff will skew the results and make them rather meaningless for this sump.

Good point!! But the other side, there was almost 1 quart of used oil still in the engine after the drain. I was able to pour only 3 quart of fresh oil into the sump.

This 'top up' 15K km sample is still good to go.
Alternatively, you could extend OCI to say, 20/25K km and do UOA without top-up then....... to establish if 20/25K km OCI with 1 quart topup in between works for your engine or otherwise.
