Bought a used car and the coolant was supposedly changed. Cannot identify the brand. It is emerald green. Not the yellowish green stuff. Looking into the radiator the coolant is very clear and the radiator looks like new. I did try the voltmeter test. But not sure that works with the newer coolants. Any idea who makes emerald green coolant? The car is a 99 and the factory fill was the old green stuff. Thanks.

I always change all fluids in a "new to me" used car. That way I am setting my maintenance clock to zero.

This.

Green 'could' be IAT original green, some form of a universal all makes models OAT dexclone, even an Asian PHoat green though I doubt that.

Your call as to whether comfortable with leaving AF for awhile, or changing out with complete exchange to AF of your choice.

A 99 what?
