2016 F-350 diesel factory filter CUT OPEN

[53' Stude]

Off of a friends 2016 F-350 regular cab truck with 6.7 PowerStroke Diesel engine. Mileage on oil and filter was 8,900 miles. Put some DELO XLE 10w30 and MC filter in and on. Typical Champ Labs quality I say or good filter. No louvers here so

I disagree--the seam looks just as carpy as the OEM I pulled on my 2015 PSD with only 1,570 miles on it. But thanks for the C&P!

Think he's saying it's starting to split-but car51 didn't see a problem with it. Seen a few Purolator made QS & Motorcraft filters look that way, haven't seen any come apart, though. Oil looks just like my Cummins, black as coal.

Starting to separate. The seam on my filter was almost fully separated and I do not think it would have made a full OCI.
