Am trying to do complete maintenance to one of our machines and discovered that

(1) Without removing engine, I can not take completely off the Carburetor as there are 2 long bolts that hit the frame assembly as the carburetor slides "almost off"

(2) Am able to open bowl and there is a "normal looking Jet nozzle", when using a flat screwdriver, the Jet will not unscrew so wondering if I have to use a lefthanded drillbit or are there other (read: non-destructive) methods to open the Jet and clean the parts ?

Took off entire engine and carburetor slides off the long bolts.

Now, the Jet comes out only with a left handed drillbit and same for the longer foaming nozzle. Once these are cleaned, since they only come out with drillbits, am assuming they are unusable and should be replaced ?

Since the EX17 complete carburetor can be purchased for around 50 am wondering if best to just replace entire carb.

There appears to be no rebuild kits available.
