How much cheaper than OEM?
I was very happy with four Pentius air filters I got for around 10$ ea. a while back, OEM was like 45$ up here in Canada. Also liked the Pentius cabin air filters, dirt cheap and fit great.

It cost about $15.84 through RockAuto. It seems to be the same OEM one as in the Honda already. Made In S. Korea.

In 2015 Honda decided to make a new air filter. Well it seems aftermarket is finally here. But only WIX and KN as of right now.

Your OEM's don't have a blue face and the white face?
IIRC the genuine Honda filters for my two have a blue face, I assumed that it was treated somehow-either oil or electrostatic to collect dust better.
Even in my high mileage cars the UOA's com back clean so the air filters are doing their jobs, for a few $ more than an aftermarket I'll stick with them.

I yanked on the old PENTIUS air filter and it was sturdy.
It was fairly dirty but could have gone 10,000km longer for sure.
I cut the old PENTIUS up, and it was Synthtic media, I thought it was paper.
Cut it with a knife, and didn't look close to being full of dirt.
Yanked at where it was bonded, strong stuff.
Order Ecogard or PENTIUS with 100% confidence.
