I was checking the oil on a 2011 Chevy Impala. I was shocked to see the dipstick was twisted about 8 to 10 times along the full length of it. Seriously? Did it really come that way from the factory? I have never seen anything like that. Or did someone "play" with it?? Anyone?

I have seen this, but not the full length. Probably normal, not a problem. My 2003 Z06 vette, is this way, I think only 2 twist though.

Best Album of the year with these classics:

1. " I can't read her after dark"
2. " Parked on a Hill, now so low"
3. " Wait for me, I'm drippin' down"
4. " She's too high, I'm so low"
5. " Pull it out & wipe clean "

One of the few posts on BITOG that doesn't need a source.

My '14 frontier has the weirdest dipstick mounting and does twisting and other gyrations as it becomes seated.

Oh, and did I mention you have your mouth and facial expressions in a certain contortion as well?
