For a value tier jobber type filter, about average. And unlike the Champ made jobber filter posted here recently for another Hyun/Kia this is the correct application, not downsized. Also this one uses a separate metal dome end bypass, a plus imo. No media area leader certainly, but normal for this tier filter.

Thanks for the yt.

I was actually surprised how many pleats there were. Some of the econo filter really seem to skimp on the number of pleats, even the Fram orange cans are pretty skimpy.

Comparing just pleat counts the Fram orange can will lose every time. But it's not a real good comparison as the Fram uses very strong synthetic blended media with a surprisingly high efficiency rating for an entry level filter at about 95%. You will have a hard time finding that kind of efficiency in another entry level filter.

I have used a bunch of these Wix made entry level filters and have found them to be a very good value, quality of construction is always excellent. However you are getting rather brittle (has not been a problem) all paper cellulose media and efficiency is around 80%, much lower than the Fram but pretty typical for a "jobber" type filter.

Yep, going by pleat count can be deceiving. Need to measure the actual total surface area. The Fram may have less pleats, but they are deeper than most so the total surface area might be more than some filters with more pleats.
