For the last 3 years, I've had a "growth chart" on the hallway door trim for the kids. the "ever brilliant" one in the house decides to paint over the markings that I have done all these years because she "thought that it wasn't important" Man, was I mad!!!! No call to ask me. Anyways, it's water based paint.I want to try and hopefully be able to see the marks and dates that i scribbled on there. I know it's probably not possible, but, any suggestions?

about 2 months old. It's the cheapest priced one from Home Cheapo.

Soaking it with very hot water and rubbing over the area 'might' work. If the paint had two months to cure it's going to be tough. You can also try Goof-Off, but it will probably remove the markings too.

If the hot water doesnt work, as i'm sure it wont. use denatured alcohol. it'll soften the paint then the warm water will remove it. wipe slowly.

Steamer and a solid rag.

You can thank me later.
