I'm looking for a recommendation on a "truck box" for the bed of my truck that can be secured, but removed without hassle when needed. I'd like to store a real jack, lug wrench and a few other items; must be weather-proof as well.

Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

Are you looking for a diamond plate toolbox or a plastic tote?

If you have a Tractor Supply store nearby, they've got a good selection of toolboxes.

I like the Rubbermaid Action Packer plastic totes. They're pretty sturdy and waterproof. I keep my camping gear in them, and they've survived many a trip on the roof rack of my old Subaru.

Might be tough to meet all of the requirements.

Toolbox = Weatherproof & secure. Not easily removed.

Rubbermaid = Weatherproof & easily removed. Not very secure.

I would also agree with this recommendation.
I bought my last one at Lowes. It is a Kobalt branded Betterbilt.
It has been a good box. I have had no issues with it.
I would recommend staying away from the plastic boxes.
Burned once. Never again.
